In a confrontation with the Sadducees who did not believe in the resurrection, Jesus declared that God is not the God of the dead, but of the living (Luke 11:38). In this week’s gospel reading, Jesus confronts us with the reality of the bodily resurrection from the dead. Just as he would be physically raised from the dead, so will those who “are considered worthy.” Listen to this week’s message delivered by Fr. Michael Novotny.
